Boston Bruins place a goaltender on waivers: The real reason was just revealed

The real reason the Boston Bruins placed goaltender, Michael DiPietro, on waivers was just revealed by the organization's newly acquired head coach, Marco Sturm.
The
Boston Bruins completed their final roster cuts yesterday, Sunday, October 5, where they placed four players on waivers, and sent five total players down to the organization's AHL affiliate team, the Providence Bruins.
These final roster cuts shocked many within the hockey world due to the talent that were ultimately sent down.
Along with that,
Matthew Poitras was also sent down to the Providence Bruins, but did not require waivers.
Jonathan Aspirot, Matej Blumel, Michael DiPietro and Alex Steeves have been placed on waivers for the purpose of assignment to Providence.
Matt Poitras will report to Providence Bruins Training Camp.
While some of these players are speculated to stay within the Bruins organization, the Boston Bruins' Michael DiPietro is unfortunately not one of them.
As several organizations within the league are aware of this net minders talent, and he has already begun being linked to alternative organizations.

Today, October 6, Boston Bruins' head coach, Marco Sturm, has touched on the subject of DiPietro being placed on waivers.
This was revealed on social media, via «X».
Sturm on waiving Michael DiPietro instead of keeping three goalies: «We know Mikey's an excellent goalie. We don't want to lose him. But the other two guys were great.»
