The Boston Bruins have undoubtedly made the 2024/25 season one to remember, but not for any reason the organization is proud of.

The team made a home for themselves in the NHL basement during the last couple months of the season, however, new insight has revealed what three major moves the franchise is set to make to become competitors for the 2025/26 NHL season.
A reporter, Rob Couch, for nhltraderumours.com reported three expected offseason changes to get the Boston Bruins back into contention for next year's playoffs.

Replace Joonas Korpisalo for a different backup goaltender
Joonas Korpisalo doesn't seem to be happy with his current position within the Bruins organization. He has recently announced his frustrations regarding his limited gameplay, and hinted that he is seeking a starting net-minder position.
This goaltender's perspective is nothing less than understanding, especially due to the fact he was able to hit better numbers than the team's starting goalie, Jeremy Swayman.
However, Swayman is on a big contract, so the likelihood of the Bruins buying him out is close to none, meaning the only option to keep this net-minder content may just be him departing from the organization and the Bruins acquiring a different goalie to play behind Swayman.
Acquire key-players for the Bruins' top-6
As of now, the Bruins' top-6 includes David Pastrnak, Morgan Geekie, Elias Linholm, Patel Zacha, Jakub Lauko, and Fabian Lysell.
Unfortunately for Boston, this top-6 will not bring the team to the contention level they are seeking, and in order to excel within next season, the organization is in dire need to add at least one big name to the roster.
Luckily, the organization currently has enough money to add more than just one superstar, and this would give Boston the scoring they have been lacking within the 2024/25 NHL season.
Rebounds and health
During this past season, a huge aspect to the overall downfall of the Bruins's gameplay was due to the immense amount of injuries endured by the roster.
A huge chunk of the roster, including key-players, endured brutal injuries within the 2024/25 NHL season.
That being said, hopefully when it comes time to take on the ice again for next season, the roster will be in peak health and great condition to take on a new and improved season.
