Don Sweeney ended up shocking the entire Boston Bruins fan base when he announced that Brad Marchand was being traded to the Florida Panthers.
It was later reported that Sweeney was trying to work out a deal with Marchand, but Marchand did not want to re-sign, rejected multiple contract offers form the Bruins, and asked to be traded to the Florida Panthers.
There has been some discussion about Marchand possibly coming back to Boston in the off-season, and now the Bruins finally know what they'll have to pay to reacquire him.
