The Boston Bruins have been on the fence, going back and forth on whether or not they should trade Brad Marchand, and Elliotte Friedman just confirmed that they have decided to move on from the captain in a blockbuster deal.
Thursday night trade talks heated up a ton involving Boston Bruins Brad Marchand as first reported by Chris Johnston.
While the #bruins continue to go back and forth with Brad Marchand on a possible contract extension, word is they're still open to potentially trading their captain: Teams calling with interest aren't being told "no" right now.
As the night went on the trade talks started to heat up even more, with multiple teams showing tons of interest in acquiring the 36-year-old. The Vegas Golden Knights were one of the teams reportedly pushing hard to acquire the captain.

Now it's official, Elliotte Friedman just confirmed that the Boston Bruins are trading Brad Marchand to Florida Panthers.

Despite the fact Brad Marchand stated multiple times that he wanted to play the remainder of his career with the Boston Bruins, ultimately this is a business and Don Sweeney did what he thought was best for the organization going forward.
