Traded: A Boston Bruins Goaltender Is Set To Be Traded Following A Recent Report

After the Boston Bruins season came to an end, the Bruins held their exit interviews and goaltender Joonas Korpisalo made it very clear to the organization that he was not happy with how he was treated.

During his first season with the Boston Bruins, Korpisalo barley saw any games, and during his exit interview he called out the organization.

Korpisalo is not wrong for feeling how he does, but it doesn't seem like he is going to get more starts with the Bruins organization. Swayman had a very down year for the Boston Bruins, but he signed a massive eight year contract, and is now the teams long-term starter.

With Korpisalo wanting a more prominent role, it may have to come with a different organization.

Korpisalo played good for the Boston Bruins during the games he started, but they may benefit from trading him. If he is only going to be playing a handful of games for the Bruins, there is no point in paying a backup goaltender $3 million.

The Boston Bruins are looking to improve their roster, and having all the cap space they can possibly get would benefit them.

The Bruins also have some solid goaltenders in the American Hockey League in Michael DiPietro and Brandon Bussi who could take over the backup role for the organization.

A change of scenery could also benefit Korpisalo as he would be able to have more playing time. There isn't many goaltenders in the free agent market either, so the Bruins may be able to get a decent return for him if they decide to trade him.
