A new statement has been issued by Charlie Coyle to the Boston Bruins, months after trade with the Colorado Avalanche, and it's surprising.
During last year's NHL Trade Deadline, the Boston Bruins quickly became sellers and one of the victims of this fire sale was, unfortunately, the organization's highly skilled Charlie Coyle.
Coyle was one of the many impactful players within Boston that had been dealt, where he was traded by the Bruins alongside a fifth-round pick to the Colorado Avalanche, in exchange for Casey Mittelstadt, Will Zellers and a second-round pick.
Charlie Coyle has officially announced a statement regarding his departure from Boston
This week, moments ahead of the 2025/26 NHL season, Coyle made a statement on social media, via Instagram, on his time within Boston and said his goodbyes to Bruins fans.
Take a look at his post:
I can't feel anything other than grateful & fortunate to have played for the Boston Bruins for 6 years. It fulfilled a lifelong dream to be able to wear the Bruins sweater & play at home in front of all my family & friends.
There are so many different people to thank who helped shape me & get me to where I am, who gave me the opportunity, and those who cheered me on & supported me throughout. I owe a lot - but just know I appreciate & thank you all! So many great memories have been made that I'll have with me the rest of my life«
