The Boston Bruins have had one player in constant trade rumors dating back to the regular season in Pavel Zacha.
So far, the Chicago Blackhawks have had a pretty quiet off-season, and now they have a opportunity to make a big splash and take a step forward in their rebuild.
As of right now, the Blackhawks have $21 million in cap space, and they could use some of it to make a big move before heading into the new season.
Blackhawks in on Boston Bruins Pavel Zacha
They are in desperate need of another top-six forward, and someone like Zacha would make a lot of sense.
Zacha wouldn't be a rental for the Blackhawks, as he is currently signed until the end of the 2026-27 season with a small cap hit of $4.75 million, making him a sought after player.
The Boston Bruins are wanting to improve their prospect pool, while also being competitive, making the Blackhawks an ideal trading partner.
Chicago has one of the deepest prospect pools in the league, and would be willing to move on from a couple to acquire a top-six forward.
Zacha did have a down year with the Boston Bruins last year scoring 14 goals, and 47 points, but playing with someone like
Connor Bedard could drastically change that.
If the Boston Bruins do end up trading Pavel Zacha, the Blackhawks are definitely going to be a team in the conversation.
