Blockbuster 1-for-1 trade proposal sees the Bruins trading Pavel Zacha to the Sabres for a top defenseman

Even though the Boston Bruins are currently a rebuilding team, that doesn't mean that they are not looking to add some players that are in their prime rn.
The Boston Bruins are in desperate need to acquire more competent defenders, and now a blockbuster 1-for-1 trade proposal has been made that would see
Pavel Zacha head to the Buffalo Sabres in return for a top defenseman.
Zacha heading to Buffalo?
Heavy.com has suggested that the Boston Bruins should look into trading Pavel Zacha 1-for-1 for Buffalo Sabres defenseman
Bowen Byram.
 Bruins Acquire:
Bowen Byram
Sabres Acquire:
Pavel Zacha
If this trade were to happen, both teams would walk away from the trade while achieving both of their goals.
The Sabres would acquire a top-six forward like they have been looking for, while the Bruins would add a versatile defenseman that can play both the left, and right side.
McAvoy, Lindholm and Zadorov are all top-four performers, and adding someone like Byram into the mix would give them a solid defensive core.
«Bowen Byram remains a prime candidate for the Sabres to move at some point this offseason.» As for what the Sabres are looking for, «Buffalo's desire is to add a top-six forward.»
Byram ended up scoring 38 points last year with the Sabres, which topped all Boston Bruins defenders.
