Boston Bruins ex-head coach Jim Montgomery publicly called out the Boston Bruins and it's ugly
Recently, Boston Bruins former head coach Jim Montgomery did not hold back and called out the Boston Bruins organization.
The Boston Bruins got off to a terrible start during the 2024-25 season, this comes two years later after setting a new record in the NHL.
During the 2022-23 season, Jim Montgomery and the Boston Bruins set the new record for most wins in a season during his first season behind the bench.
They set a new record with 65 wins in a regular season, and 135 points. Montgomery lead them to a 65-12-5 record in 82 games.
After having a troubling beginning to the season last year, the Boston Bruins thought it was best to move on from Jim Montgomery.
Jim Montgomery was clearly not the problem, as he went on to
coach the St. Louis Blues for the remainder of the season, and they ended up making the playoffs.
Now Jim Montgomery has spoken out on what may have went wrong, and called out the Boston Bruins.
Jim Montgomery blames the culture of the Boston Bruins
Recently, Jim Montgomery was on a podcast with the Empty Netters, and spoke out about what went wrong during the season when he was fired.
Montgomery stated that a big problem was the Boston Bruins did not have the same culture they did during the 2023 season.
Culture is something you have to work on daily, and i saw that in 2023. I can't say i saw that in 2024.
I should've put more emphasis on making sure the culture was maintained.
