Boston Bruins forward comments on being placed with new linemates

Boston Bruins' newly acquired forward, Casey Mittelstadt, has officially commented on being placed with new teammates.
Casey Mittelstadt, who was acquired by the Boston Bruins in a major trade with the Colorado Avalanche on March 7, 2025, has just made a statement regarding his new line, and while they continue to build chemistry, he is seemingly already a fan of the new look.
Casey Mittelstadt will be playing alongside two highly skilled forwards, Tanner Jeannot and Matthew Poitras, and it already looks promising.

«I think we complement each other well,» Mittelstadt stated, via NHL.com. «To be honest, I really like what we're trying to do. It is just a little different than what I've played in terms of a little bit more man-on-man versus what we were doing last year in the D-zone.
«Kind of trying to figure out when to be passive and when to be aggressive, I think, is probably the No. 1 thing we're going to figure out who we are as a team,» Mittlestadt added. «I think it fits the way we want to play and the guys we have very well. I think it's exciting.»

The puzzle pieces are seemingly coming together for the Bruins, despite their unfortunate run last campaign.
Jeannot will undoubtedly bring size and physicality to the line, where Poitras adds speed as well as youth, and Mittelstadt will be the leader and playmaker.
Boston Bruins coach, Marco Sturm, has already unveiled that he believes both Jeannot and Poitras will bring the best out of Mittelstadt.
«With Mittelstadt, the ability to move pucks and find guys - I thought it would be maybe a good pair to move forward,» Sturm said. «Somebody on (Mittelstadt's) side needs to have speed. Casey, he will find you. He's that good on the puck and that smart. He will find you. But he needs guys to push him along and push him forward.»
