Boston Bruins GM Don Sweeney Makes Two Players Available For Free To All 31 NHL Teams Following Announcement

After the NHL trade deadline came to a conclusion, the Boston Bruins ended up recalling some veteran forwards in Patrick Brown, and Vinni Lettieri.

Fans were not happy with this move, as both of these players bring little to no value to the Boston Bruins, and the Bruins could be playing other top prospects in the lineup over them like Georgii Merkulov, and Matthew Poitras.

Since they have been recalled, the Boston Bruins have gone on a eight-game losing streak, and it just speaks volume.

The idea to recall these players in the first place was a terrible one, and Don Sweeney should be facing backlash for letting them sit in the lineup for this long.

Well not Don Sweeney has officially made some changes, and NHL insider Elliotte Friedman confirmed it as well.

Multiple sources, including Elliotte Friedman just confirmed that the Boston Bruins have placed both Patrick Brown and Vinni Lettieri on the waiver wire, assuming to re-assign them back down to the American Hockey League with the Providence Bruins.

With both Lettieri, and Brown heading on waivers, they are now available to all 31 other NHL teams, and if any of them want one of these players they can acquire them for free.

It's unclear if the Boston Bruins will be recalling anyone after announcing this transaction, as nothing else has been announced, but stay tuned for further details!
