Boston Bruins' star forward, David Pastrnak, officially breaks his silence regarding the organization's decision to delay replacing their former captain, Brad Marchand.

The Boston Bruins' general manager, Don Sweeney, and the front office decided to trade a ton of big named players during the last few months of their 2024/25 NHL campaign.
This decision was evidently due to the fact their season had been extremely underwhelming.
One of the most notable players that ended up departing from Boston was the organization's 16-year veteran and captain, Brad Marchand, during the NHL Trade Deadline this past March.
And ever since his departure, the Boston Bruins have yet to confirm a replacement captain.
Although many believed that the Boston Bruins were going to replace their former veteran and announce a new captain entering the upcoming season, it has officially been confirmed by the organization that they will be entering their next campaign without one.

Boston Bruins' David Pastrnak speaks out on not being named captain

During a recent interview with a Czech outlet, David Pastrnak issued a statement regarding not being named the Boston Bruins' captain:
«Nothing changes. It wouldn't change if I had the C or Charlie McAvoy. We're all in this together, we still have guys in the locker room who've won the Stanley Cup.»

«I know I'm a leader and Boston's game will depend on me. We have to continue to work together, improve and help the young guys.»

«Going into this year, we're both going to have A's. That's what I know. I don't think there's any fire under them to do anything with that. And guess what? That's totally fine.»
Do you agree with the Boston Bruins' decision to not name their star, David Pastrnak, as the organization's next captain?
