Boston Bruins trade former 8th overall pick to the Pittsburgh Penguins: A deal may be in the works
According to some new reports, the Boston Bruins may be looking on trading former 8th overall pick to the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Out of nowhere, Boston Bruins forward
Casey Mittelstadt has become available in recent trade rumors.
This is coming from an unnamed NHL executive source, and it could end up leading to Pittsburgh Penguins General Manager Kyle Dubas making a trade.
It seems like the Boston Bruins are more then likely going to hold onto them, but they could trade another player.
Penguins interested in Bruins former 8th overall pick?
According to RG.org's Jimmy Murphy, a Casey Mittelstadt has become available for trade, and he could be moved before the new season begins.
"I think a lot of teams have been and are expecting the Bruins to flip him at some point, but where's his value at right now if that's the case? They may just see how it goes this season. Maybe he reshapes his value, and if they're out of it again at the next trade deadline, then they move him then and parlay him into another pick or prospect."
"There was a common feeling that he wasn't their main target when they traded for him; Zellers and the second-round draft pick were."

The trade saw
Charlie Coyle go the other way, and the Boston Bruins acquired Casey Mittelstadt, prospect Will Zellers and a 2025 second-round draft pick.
Mittelstadt, 26-years-old, ended up appearing in 18 games for the Boston Bruins last season where he scored four goals, and two assists for 6 points.
As of right now, these are all just rumors, but the Pittsburgh Penguins would be a team to look out for, especially during their rebuild.
