Boston Bruins GM Don Sweeney Set To Take Advantage Of The New York Rangers
This off-season, the forward group should be Don Sweeney's main priority, and a recent report revealed that he may fleece the New York Rangers.
Some of those players do not make much sense for the Boston Bruins, and that's why Sweeney may turn his attention to restricted free agents and possibly offer sheet them.
Bruins To Offer Sheet A Rangers Forward
One big RFA that stands out to the Boston Bruins is easily New York Rangers forward
Will Cuylle.
The 23-year-old is the ideal power forward that the Boston Bruins should make a serious push to acquire. He is 6-foot-4 and has all the tools and skills to be a solid top-six forward in the NHL.
Cuylle loves to throw the body, but he also proved last season that he can make an impact offensively when he scored 20 goals, and picked up 25 assists for 45 points in 82 games in just his second season in the NHL.
It doesn't seem like the Bruins are going to change their first-line with how much chemistry they developed towards the end of the year, but Cuylle would be a perfect on the Bruins second line, and a nice addition to the power play.
With having a lot of cap space this off-season, and multiple holes they need to fill, Cuylle seems like the perfect player.
The New York Rangers also have very little cap space this off-season, making it easy for the Bruins to take advantage of them.
