With how much interest Sam Bennett is going to get across the NHL if he hits free agency, he just sent a clear message to the Boston Bruins and the entire NHL.
Bennett is an ideal fit for the Boston Bruins due to his play style, he is a tough, physical, productive forward that is hard to play against, and is just built for the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Every team wants a player like him.
Recent reports revealed that Sam Bennett may only be interested in playing for the Florida Panthers, or the Toronto Maple Leafs.
This should not stop the Boston Bruins from seeing if they can land Bennett, they are looking for center depth and he fits their bill perfectly.
Sam Bennett Has A Specific Request From The Bruins And Other Teams
Insider Max Truman revealed some interesting information regarding Bennett if he were to hit the free agent market, and it involves his asking price.

According to Truman, if a market like the Boston Bruins wanted to acquire Sam Bennett during free agency, they would have to pay him anywhere from $9.5 to $10 million per season.
That is a lot to ask for a player that has only hit the 50 point mark once in his career.
