Boston was looking to win their sixth straight game in Toronto against the Maple Leafs and was facing a big challenge: they were without three key players.
The
Bruins entered their game missing three top players.
Entering the game, the Bruins had a huge uphill battle they were facing if they wanted to extend their winning streak.
Being short so many top players, the Bruins went head-to-head against the Toronto Maple Leafs and took them down, beating them 5-3.
One of the biggest goals the Bruins ended up scoring came with a bit of luck following a review.

In the second period, the Bruins were tied 2-2 when it appeared they scored a power-play goal. The goal was waived off by the refs right away as the official near the net stated that Eyssimont pushed Stolarz's pad across the line.
The play was reviewed, and it was determined that the puck crossed the line before Eyssimont made any contact with his pads.
Boston's video review team ended up catching something that the Leafs' review team ended up missing. 39 seconds before the Bruins scored their goal, the play entering the zone was
offside, but the Leafs video review team somehow missed it.
"That was the right call,'' said Sturm of the review. "We were just afraid of the offside because it was, so I was just very surprised they didn't call that, but we knew it was a goal.''
If the Leafs did end up catching this, it could have been a completely different game as the two teams would have been tied at 2-2 still.
