David Pastrnak is one of the funnest forwards to watch in the NHL, and he showed why tonight scoring a highlight reel goal against the Toronto Maple Leafs to chase goaltender Anthony Stolarz.
Entering their game tonight, the Bruins are currently on a five-game winning streak, but fans aren't sure how things were going to go.
Before the game, the Bruins got hit with some terrible news regarding two top players.
Both Charlie McAvoy and Casey Mittelstadt did not travel with the Bruins to Toronto tonight for their game.
McAvoy took a step away from the Bruins organization due to a personal matter and stayed back in Boston.
It was also announced that Mittelstadt had suffered a upper-body injury and also stayed back in Boston.
Charlie McAvoy is home because of a personal matter. Casey Mittlestadt (upper body) did not travel.
Entering the game, the Bruins were already down both John Beecher and Elias Lindholm, who are also injured.
Adding McAvoy and Mittelstadt to the list, things started to look bad for the Bruins.
Pastrnak scores highlight reel goal
With that being said, the Bruins scored two goals on their first two shots, finishing the 1st period tied 2-2.
In the second period, the Bruins scored a power-play goal to take a 3-2 lead, and not long later, Pastrnak undressed a defenseman to score the Bruins' fourth goal of the game.
