The 2026 NHL free agency class was expected to be a stacked one, but with a couple signed now to new deals, it's not going to be as exciting.

Boston didn't make any moves this off-season because the free agency class was expected to be stacked next off-season, but now a couple of top players have signed and the Boston Bruins have missed out.
Just the other day, Connor McDavid ended up re-signing with the Edmonton Oilers on a two-year deal worth $12.5 million.
Now, another top free agent in the 2026 class has officially signed.
