Bobby Orr's true colours revealed
Bobby Orr, the legendary ice hockey player, had a unique way of motivating his underperforming teammates.
Rather than calling them out directly, he would silently observe them from his stall in the dressing room.
One time, Derek Sanderson felt Orr's gaze during a lackluster game. Instead of looking back, Sanderson turned to Phil Esposito and asked if Orr was watching him.
Esposito confirmed Orr's focus, saying, "Well, Derek, I have two goals tonight, so I don't think he's looking at me!"
This gentle nudge from Orr prompted Sanderson to elevate his game in the third period.
