Boston Bruins ownership is holding a meeting before their game against the Leafs today and Jim Montgomery could be on his way out.
Boston Bruins insider Jimmy Murphy revealed yesterday that he had a disscusion with NHL insider Darren Dreger, and Dreger reported that the Boston Bruins ownership and management will be speaking to each other before their game against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
There is some speculation that this conversation may be about Jim Montgomery's fate with the Boston Bruins.
Speaking on @TSN690 in the last hour, @DarrenDreger said he believes #NHLBruins ownership and management will speak to each other ahead of tomorrow's game against #LeafsForever.
That isn't surprising, and I get the speculation about Jim Montgomery right now, but after having just two coaches over a span of 22 seasons, is Jeremy Jacobs going to be OK with three in three seasons?
The Boston Bruins made some big moves this off-season signing players like Nikita Zadorov, and Elias Lindholm in hopes to be a more competitive team this year. Instead it's been the opposite for the Bruins who have started the year off 3-4-1.
Another reason is the Bruins 5v5 numbers, they are close to the bottom in almost every category, take a look:
Bruins getting hammered at 5-on-5.
