Completed Trade Between The Bruins And Canucks That Changed Things

The Boston Bruins and Vancouver Canucks combined for a trade on October 28th, 2022 where the Bruins ended up trading for goaltender Micheal DiPietro and defenseman Jonathan Myrenberg.

In return the Vancouver Canucks got forward Jack Studnicka. This trade has seriously paid off for the Bruins organization.

DiPietro has played three career games in the NHL, all with the Vancouver Canucks organization.

In those three games, he only started two of them having a record of 0-2-0 with a 5.25 GAA, and a .771 SV%, but has not seen NHL action since the 2021-22 season.

This year, Michael DiPietro is making a serious name for himself. Brandon Bussi has been the Bruins 'top' goaltender prospect, but it seems DiPietro may have passed him.

This season with the Providence Bruins, DiPietro has a 16-5-4 record, with a 1.91 GAA which is 1st in the AHL, a .932 SV% which is 2nd in the AHL, and is tied for first in the AHL for shutouts with 4 this year. He was also named to the American Hockey League All-Star game this year.

It's just a matter of time before Michael DiPietro is called up to the Boston Bruins as he clearly is making a name for himself down in the American Hockey League.
