Blockbuster Trade Rumors Reveal Brad Marchand Is Set To Be Traded To A Top Contending Team

Brad Marchand's name has been mentioned in trade rumors too often for our liking lately, as he could be dealt to a Stanley Cup contender, the Colorado Avalanche.
GM Chris McFarland would pull off a literal coup in the West if he could replenish his ranks with the Bruins' current Captains.
The Bruins and Captain
Brad Marchand have failed to work out an extension, and with his contract expiring at year-end, he could end up being a rental for a contender in the West.
That team would be the Colorado Avalanche who recently lost winger
Mikko Rantanen to a trade.
Losing a 100-point winger is a significant loss for the team's playoff prospects. They could reload the arsenal with the Bruins' $6.1 million captain but may have to give up significant assets for a Stanley Cup push.
The Cost To Acquire Brad Marchand
The Colorado Avalanche wants to win, and that requires giving up a significant amount of talent, and a first-round draft pick.
This kind of trade would help retool the Bruins lineup, and give the team a younger look as GM Don Sweeney could move on from his aging contract.
Although, he could end up resigning with the Bruins in July after he ends up winning a cup, or finds himself in a first or second-round exit.
A lot of offensive talent, but Marchand is a two-hundred-foot player and an agitator.
