Unfortunately the Bruins were not able to follow the lead of the New England Patriots and Celtics on Sunday afternoon. Both of those teams earned wins, with the Bruins losing their game against the San Jose Sharks.

Following the game, soon-to-be captain David Pastrnak ended up speaking on the one major problem that is holding the Boston Bruins back.
Boston ended up losing the game to the Sharks 3-1 and spent the majority of the game once again playing from behind.
Geekie ended up scoring the Bruins' lone goal in the third period to give the Bruins a chance, but nothing came out of it.
The Bruins have lacked a lot of offense this season besides Morgan Geekie, and it's been a widely talked about topic, but there has been something else that has been talked about a lot involving the Bruins, and now Pastrnak has spoken out about it.

Pastrnak comments on a major problem with the Bruins

Pastrnak believes that the Bruins need to fix a major issue and that is taking too many penalties.
«It's every game, we're taking almost double as many penalties as we have power plays,» Pastrnak said after the game. «It's tough. It's too much relying on the penalty kill. The tempo is not there. We just gotta stay out of the box and be better.»

It's no secret that the Bruins are taking too many penalties. Penalties are bound to happen, but the rate the Bruins are going to the box has been a bit concerning and has been killing their momentum.
Despite this, the Bruins are still sitting in a pretty good spot right now with a 13-11-0 record. Tonight the Bruins are back in action against the New York Islanders where they will look to work on staying out of the box.
