A recent move completed by the Boston Bruins and general manager Don Sweeney could very well signal the end of his longtime tenure with the organization.
If there's anything that Bruins fans are well aware of throughout the past two seasons, it's constant changes.
Whether that may be in the lineup, behind the bench, or even in hockey advisory roles, fans know it all.
And the latest change involved a 2019 first-round pick by the Boston Bruins, Johnny Beecher, who was placed on waivers by Don Sweeney.
Johnny Beecher was almost immediately claimed off of NHL waivers following his placement, and NHL insider Darren Dreger just exposed a true flaw in Don Sweeney's management skills.
Darren Dreger's inside scoop could cost Don Sweeney his job
According to Dreger, Sweeney and the Bruins didn't even check in with every NHL team to attempt to swing a deal for their former first-round pick.
Teams appeared shocked when Sweeney kicked the young forward to the curb, and clearly there was interest, as the Calgary Flames claimed the young forward.
"Darren Dreger: Re Bruins: I just can't believe that you couldn't get something back for Johnny Beecher and the reason I say that is the number of teams that didn't know, apparently, that they were gonna put him on waivers, like do you not put out that call? - Barn Burner (11/21)"
This continuously highlights the flaws in the current management group in Boston, within their moves and even wasted drafting opportunities over the past several years.
"How many draft picks below round one or two have the Bruins hit on in the last ten years? How about one... Jeremy Swayman."
