Earlier in the off-season, Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney kicked 7 players to the curb.

Now one of those players has officially signed a new deal, with a new team outside of the NHL.
Don Sweeney did not give tendering qualifying offers to seven players earlier this off-season resulting in them becoming free agents.
The list of players is Drew Bavaro, Trevor Kuntar, Jakub Lauko, Daniil Misyul, Ian Mitchell, Jaxon Nelson, Oliver Wahlstrom.
"Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, June 30, that the following players have not received qualifying offers from the team: Drew Bavaro, Trevor Kuntar, Jakub Lauko, Daniil Misyul, Ian Mitchell, Jaxon Nelson, Oliver Wahlstrom."

Jaxon Nelson finds a new home outside the NHL

According to some recent reports, Jaxon Nelson has found a new home after spending over a month on the market.
It was reported that he has signed with the Iowa Heartlanders in the ECHL, which is the affiliate of the Minnesota Wild.
Nelson ended up joining the Boston Bruins after his final year in University during the 2023-24 season.
He had a standout year during his final year, scoring 19 goals, 31 points in 39 games.
Nelson spent the entire past season with the Providence Bruins scoring just two goals, seven assist, for 9 points in 35 games.
