Trusted NHL insider Elliotte Friedman just confirmed a worrying report regarding Boston Bruins, and Team USA's defenseman Charlie McAvoy and it's interesting.
Charlie McAvoy was a tank for Team USA when they faced off against their biggest rival in Team Canada, landing some massive hits on Canada's Connor McDavid, playing some big minutes, and some solid shut down defense.
Although he doesn't have any points in the two games against Finland, and Canada, McAvoy has averaged over 19 minutes in both games, and is expected to be a massive piece for them in the finals.
Team USA clinched their ticket to the finals in their 3-1 win over Canada on Saturday, and McAvoy was a big reason for that. His hits and defensive play lead to a lot of momentum and chances for Team USA.

Many knew that USA's Matthew Tkachuk wasn't going to play today after suffering a lower-body injury, but what caught many by surprise was the fact Charlie McAvoy is not playing today.
Team USA's head coach Mike Sullivan announced that Charlie McAvoy will be coming out, and Jake Sanderson will be replacing him against Sweden, and Elliotte Friedman confirmed it.
