Elliotte Friedman just confirmed Leon Draisaitl's fate with the Boston Bruins

Elliotte Friedman just revealed that the Edmonton Oilers and Leon Draisaitl have both officially agreed to a contract extension.

A lot of rumours have been going around during the off-season about Leon Draisaitl's future with the Edmonton Oilers, as he was due for a contract extension but it seemed like both the Oilers and Draisaitl could not agree on a contract.

The Boston Bruins were ranked the favourites to land the German superstar if he did decide to part ways with the Edmonton Oilers, but that won't be happening anytime soon now.

It was reported that Draisaitl has signed a 8-year contract worth $14 million AAV, $112 million in total.
