Elliotte Friedman reveals major details on Jeremy Swayman's contract situation

There's been an update on the situation between Jeremy Swayman and the Boston Bruins. Thanks to 32 Thoughts Podcast's own Elliotte Friedman, we know where the team and Swayman stand.
It's unfortunately, not moved much further than our latest update, as they're still not close, and training camp is less than a month away.
«aren't close» on a new deal. «I think this has been a bit of a challenging negotiation, but they've still got time, and we'll see how this sorts out.»
Friedman said the Bruins could've taken Swayman to arbitration, which would have allowed him to select a term that walks him to UFA, after two years.
But the Bruins weren't about to let their best goalie walk into unrestricted free agency according to Friedman.
It sounds like the clock will keep ticking until we come to an end, of which we hope Swayman is signed before September 18th, 2024.
