Former Boston Bruins goaltender Linus Ullmark issued a surprise statement ahead of his return to TD Garden.
Linus Ullmark is gearing up to make his first return to TD Garden after being traded by the Boston Bruins in the off-season to the Ottawa Senators..
The Boston Bruins sent Linus Ullmark to the Senators in return they got Mark Kastelic, and Joonas Korpisalo along with the 25th overall pick in the 2024-25 draft.
Both Kastelic and Korpisalo have been great for the Boston Bruins, and Ullmark has been great for the Senators. As of no there is no clear winner of this trade.
Today Jeremy Swayman is set to be in net for the Boston Bruins, and across from him is set to be his best friend and former teammate Linus Ullmark.
Jeremy Swayman has nothing but respect for Linus Ullmark, and Linus Ullmark feels the exact same way regarding Jeremy Swayman.
«It's going to be fun, interesting, a lot of emotions, but I feel that it's going to be sort of a forever memory,» Ullmark told reporters Friday, per Amalie Benjamin of NHL.com.
Jeremy Swayman and Linus Ullmark are the definition of "brothers for life" even though the trade in the off-season separated them from being teammates.
Jim Montgomery also stated that he keeps in contact with some former players including Linus Ullmark, and we expect him to get a nice ovation from TD Garden when his name is announced.
Fans are excited to see if we get one last goalie hug, even though they are not on the same team anymore.
In my own opinion i feel like they should do it one last time regardless of what the final score or outcome of the game is today.
