A recent announcement revealed that a former Boston Bruins career has hit a low as he is still available on the free agent market.

It's very deep into the off-season right now, as it's the middle of August and things have been insanely slow in the NHL.
Around this time in the NHL, teams will start handing out PTO's and there are still some notable free agents around the league.
One of the players that is still available on the free agent market is a former Boston Bruins player.
That former Boston Bruins player is Craig Smith.

Things aren't looking good for Craig Smith

According to The Hockey News, Smith is a player to keep an eye on.
Former Boston Bruins winger is certainly a player to keep an eye on because of this, as Craig Smith remains a UFA at this juncture of the summer.

Last season, Smith ended up appearing in a total of 59 games, split between the Chicago Blackhawks and the Detroit Red Wings.
In the 59 games, Smith ended up scoring nine goals, along with 9 assists for 18 points, with 34 penalty minutes and 56 hits.
In the previous year, Smith ended up scoring 11 goals, and 20 points in 75 games with the Dallas Stars.
Recently, Smith's offensive production has been trending downwards, but his experience and two-way play could give teams a reason to sign him for their bottom six.
Smith has played in three seasons with the Boston Bruins in the past from 2020-21 to 2022-23, scoring a total of 33 goals, 45 assists, 78 points, 194 hits, and was a plus-27 rating.
