With the Boston Bruins gearing up for their game against the Detroit Red Wings tonight, they have officially revealed their starting goaltender.
The Bruins are coming off of a 1-0 win to the Utah Hockey Club in Joe Sacco's debut, and now they are looking to build off of it against the Detroit Red Wings.
It was confirmed that Jeremy Swayman will be the starting goaltender for the Boston Bruins tonight.
Joonas Korpisalo played the Bruins last game against the Utah Hockey Club which was two days ago, and the Bruins will now go back to Jeremy Swayman.
This decision is shocking due to how bad Jeremy Swayman has been compared to Joonas Korpisalo.
And head coach Joe Sacco was even unsure himself leading into this game.
Swayman so far this year in 14 games has a 5-7-2 record, with a 3.47 goals against average, and .884 save percentage.
Korpisalo has appeared in eight games with the Bruins so far this season and has a 4-2-1 record with a .911 save percentage and a 2.38 goals against average.
Jeremy Swayman needs to be better for the Boston Bruins, and there is nothing else that needs to be said.
His play after signing the massive eight-year, $8 million deal has been terrible.
Do you think starting Jeremy Swayman over Joonas Korpisalo was the right decision for the Boston Bruins?
