Latest announcement unveils that the Montreal Canadiens have officially traded net-minder Carey Price.
The Montreal Canadiens unveiled on their official social media account, via «X», that they have acquired defenseman, Gannon Laroque, from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for their goaltender, Carey Price, and a fifth-round pick in 2026.

For some time now, the Boston Bruins' divisional rivals, the Montreal Canadiens, were linked to departing with Carey Price's contract.
Price was expected to be dealt on September 1st, to an alternative organization, according to analyst Jean-Charles Lajoie.
