Retired: it was just confirmed for Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand

The Boston Bruins have been the only team Brad Marchand has played for since his arrival in the NHL.
He has embraced the role of Captain in the absence of
Zdeno Chara and
Patrice Bergeron. Not only being a king agitator, but leader and mentor of the younger players of the team.
While
Brad Marchand has never been a one-dimensional player, he has accepted a team-friendly contract his entire career in the NHL. His last deal signed in 2016, saw an AAV of $6.125 Million.
But what does his next contract look like?
Brainstorming some #NHLBruins
What does a Brad Marchand extension look like?
I will go 2/$13 mil. $6.5 AAV.
Thinking 3 more years left for the captain

Marchand is fast approaching the latter end of his career and has yet to slow down and still plays his best hockey, in his 30s.
In 82 games with the Bruins, he scored 67 points(29 G, 38 A) and hasn't had a season under 50 points since 2014-2015.
One of the Bruins's key players should stick around as long as possible, and GM Don Sweeney should make sure he retires a Bruin, like Patrice Bergeron.
