Boston Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy has continued to have a bad start to the season, and it's hurting the Bruins right now.
Last season, Charlie McAvoy ended up suffering a season-ending injury during the 4 Nations Face-Off, and the Bruins were hopeful that getting him back would be a huge advantage for them, but it's been the opposite to start the season.
So far this year, McAvoy has struggled big time, and it's been hurting the Bruins.
After starting off the season 3-0, the Bruins ended up dropping six straight games in a row.
Finally, they ended up snapping their six-game losing streak last game against the Colorado Avalanche, but McAvoy was once again terrible for the Bruins.
McAvoy not helping the Bruins out
Taking a look at the impact card from last game, Charlie McAvoy was at the bottom, making the least amount of impact out of all players in the game.
McAvoy struggling to start the season
McAvoy has appeared in all 10 games for the Boston Bruins, scoring just 6 points, all being assists, as well as being a minus-5 on the year.
On the other hand,
Mason Lohrei ended up having one of the best games of his career.
He recorded a point on all three of the Bruins' goals, making it just the second time in his career to record a three-point game.
Before this game, Lohrei was playing terribly as well, and it seems like McAvoy could have been holding him back.
