The Boston Bruins have revealed why young forward Marc McLaughlin will be a healthy scratched for tonight's game and it's not good.
Heading into their game against the Buffalo Sabres the Boston Bruins will be healthy scratching two players, and it was just revealed on why one of them will be healthy scratched.
According to the Bruins morning skate, the Boston Bruins will be healthy scratching Marc McLaughlin and Parker Wotherspoon, and the Bruins just revealed why McLaughlin will be healthy scratched.
The reason Marc McLaughlin is being healthy scratched tonight is because once he plays another game he will require to be placed on waivers if they want to send him down to the American Hockey League, and Scott McLaughlin believes that this is the reason he will not play tonight.
Marc McLaughlin will require waivers again if he plays one more game in Boston. Don't know if that's why he draws out, but it could be a factor. I think he's been playing well.
The Bruins have also made some other roster changes heading into tonight's game, including Charlie Coyle heading to the Bruins top line with Brad Marchand and Elias Lindholm.
Joe Sacco stated the reason that Coyle is getting promoted to the top line is because it gives the top line more of an opportunity to generate offence for the Bruins.
Joe Sacco on moving Charlie Coyle to the top line: "I just think it gives us a chance to see how three of our top players can can play together again...I want to see Charlie there it gives him an opportunity to maybe generate some more offense with those guys too."
The Sabres are currently on a 12 game losing streak, hopefully the Bruins aren't the team they beat to break their losing streak.
