The Boston Bruins ended up trading Trent Frederic ahead of the 2024-25 NHL trade deadline, and now they may have just found his replacement via a trade.

Trent Frederic was involved in a three team trade that sent him to the Edmonton Oilers, and once they made that deal, it was clear they were heading for a retool.
After making the trade, it left a noticeable hole in the Boston Bruins forward group, and it's one they are going to have to fill before opening night.

Bruins Replace Trent Frederic Via Trade?

One name that has been surfacing a lot in trade rumours is Dallas Stars Mason Marchment, and he has been linked to the Boston Bruins.
David Pagnotta reported that the Stars are actively trying to trade the big, gritty winger to clear some cap space, and the Bruins could very well use him.

Marchment is the perfect replacement for Trent Frederic

Marchment is not a regular player, the 6-foot-5 forward plays has a serious scoring touch, and plays on the edge of the game being a perfect fit for the Bruins.
He played in just 62 games for the Dallas Stars last season, scoring 22 goals, and 47 points, 79 hits and a plus-15 rating.
Just the year before he had a breakout season scoring 53 points for the Stars.
Being that he has a lot of playoff experience, and only carries a $4.5 million cap hit, there is no reason Don Sweeney should not be all over this deal.
