Defenseman Dan Renouf has moved on from the Providence Bruins in the AHL to the WBS Penguins, the AHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The WBS Penguins have signed Renouf to a contract for the 2024-2025 AHL seasons and will be entering his 8th season of professional hockey.
The Bruins will be losing a two-time Calder Cup defenseman in 2017 with the Grand Rapids Griffins, and in 2019 with the Charlotte Checkers.
Renouf suited up in 63 AHL games, with the Providence Bruins scoring 21 points( 6 G, 15 A). In 459 AHL games, split between the Providence Bruins, Grand Rapids Griffins, Charlotte Checkers, and Colorado Eagles, he has 118 points( 19 G, 99 A) and 577 PIMs.
The Ontario-born defenseman has played in 24 NHL games scoring three-assists, splitting time between the Boston Bruins, Colorado Avalanche, and Detroit Red Wings.
