The Boston Bruins just announced an interesting move with gritty forward Mark Kastelic.
The Bruins just received some terrible news after an announcement was made from the team on social media today.
Mark Kastelic recently just returned to the Boston Bruins lineup after missing multiple games, with what many believed to be a head injury, and now he just received some more bad news.
Kastelic was originally injured when the Bruins were facing off against the Tampa Bay Lightning a couple weeks ago. In the dying seconds of the game, Kastelic and
Emil Lilleberg got into an altercation that ended up leading to a fight.
At the end of the fight, Lilleberg took Kastelic down, and he ended up smashing his head off of the ice. When he got up he was wobbly, and required assistance from
Parker Wotherspoon to get to the Bruins bench.
Kastelic was then placed on Injury Reserved, and would go on to miss the next couple of games for the Boston Bruins, but would return to the lineup to face his former team in the Ottawa Senators.
Well, the Boston Bruins have announced today that Mark Kastelic is going back on Injury Reserved.
It's unclear what exactly caused this move to happen, but he is either still dealing with a lingering injury from when they took on the Lightning, or he suffered a injury in their previous game against the San Jose Sharks.
BOSTON - Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, January 21, that the team has recalled forwards
Patrick Brown and
Max Jones from Providence. The team has also placed forward Mark Kastelic on injured reserve (Date of Injury: Jan. 20).
