Trade Incoming: Original Six Organization Showing High Interest In Acquiring Boston Bruins Forward
The New York Rangers and Boston Bruins could mix it up for a trade, for the Bruins' top-line center, Pavel Zacha.
The Boston Bruins are in the process of moving out significant assets in order to recoup enough pieces to begin a retool.
That process began this week, with the Bruins shipping
Trent Frederic to the Edmonton Oilers.
Now, next on the list could be 1C
Pavel Zacha. He could come at a significant discount for the New York Rangers and GM Chris Drury who have interest in the forward, with some term left on his contract.
Zacha is in year two of a four-year $4.75 million dollar contract which he signed with the Bruins during the 2023-2024 season.
That was after his first 50+ point year in 2022-2023 under Head Coach Jim Montgomery.
Now, he could be a part of both team's retooingl, as the Rangers have shipped out a lot of significant players in the past week.
While the Bruins are beginning the process of selling,
Trent Frederic was the first player to be moved.
Before the Bruins move Zacha, they'll have to get his 10-team no-trade list, as he has a modified NTC attached to his deal with the Bruins.
In 63 games this season with the Bruins, he's scored 38 points (12 G, 26 A) and could benefit from a fresh start elsewhere.
It could end up being New York if the price is right.
What do you say, should the Bruins trade Pavel Zacha?
