Trent Frederic's Days In Boston Are Over: Latest Development Indicates He's Officially On His Way Out

NHL Insider recently reported that Bruins forward Trent Frederic has been listed as week-to-week, but that doesn't mean that the pending UFA won't be traded.
As it appears despite the small setback in the power-forwards season, he could still find a new home in the NHL soon.
It's all a matter of how quickly the Bruins' front office can find a suitor, and what they can offer.
Could we have seen Frederic in his last game as a Bruins player recently?
He's only scored 1 point in his last five games wearing a spoked-B and only tallied 15 points (8 G, 7 A) all season.
No greater pretext for a fresh start for Frederic, who has fallen off production-wise from a career year in 2023-2024.
Despite his injury, NHL Insider Chris Johnston sounds confident that the Bruins will maintain their plans in attempting to move Frederic.
Frederic was in a walking boot on Thursday after leaving Tuesday's overtime loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs (one of the teams that would have been keenly interested in acquiring him) with a lower-body injury.
The 6'3", 220-pound forward could provide not only goal-scoring depth for a contender but also an ability to provide muscle in the lineup.
He's been utilized on special teams in the past by the Bruins, and if he finds the right team could find the net consistently again.
In 2023-2024, he scored 18 goals and 40 points under Head Coach Jim Montgomery and could be a valuable contributor to a contending team in the NHL.
The Maple Leafs were one of the last NHL teams linked to the bruising forward, as he plays a style of hockey GM Brad Treliving likes.
For now, he remains out of the Bruins lineup, and no major updates to his status have been relayed to the hockey media.
