Two fan favourite Boston Bruins goaltenders are expected to leave the organization
A recent development in the Boston Bruins' net has suggested that two goaltenders are expected to depart from the organization this offseason.
Monday morning, the Bruins made an addition to their goaltending roster by acquiring a 23-year old Czech goaltender,
Simon Zajicek, on an entry level contract.
Zajicek, an undrafted prospect, will receive a one-year entry level contract that will pay him $872,500 at the NHL level, and following this signing, new development surfaced in a couple net-minders departing with the Boston Bruins organization.
This new addition has created speculations within the hockey world, as some goaltenders will now lack opportunity and be left as the odd-man-out as the Bruins stand with an immense amount of talent behind the net.
And recent report suggests Boston with depart with some Bruins this offseason.
«Both DiPietro and Bussi are free agents, and the guess here is neither is happy with his lack of NHL opportunity post-Ullmark and will henceforth seek other pathways.»
The Boston Bruins organization is now stacked with net-minders, as they also have great prospects in their AHL affiliate, the Providence Bruins.
This being said, not all these skilled goalies are going to be interested in staying within the organization if there is a lack of NHL opportunity, and with Free Agency right around the corner, Boston Bruins fans should expect to depart with some great net-minders.
