Video surfaces on why Shattenkirk was fined by NHL Player Safety
On Saturday night, the Boston Bruins played against the Pittsburgh Penguins in a tough game. The Bruins won 6-4, and everything seemed fine. But the next day, the NHL said they were giving a big fine of $2,734.38 for something they called "unsportsmanlike conduct."
Boston's Kevin Shattenkirk has been fined $2,734.38, the maximum allowable under the CBA, for unsportsmanlike conduct during last night's game against Pittsburgh.
The strange part is, nobody could figure out what exactly happened to deserve such a big fine. The NHL didn't explain it, so everyone was left guessing.
Some people thought it might be related to an incident during the game where a Penguins player bumped into a Bruins goalie. They guessed that maybe Shattenkirk, a Bruins player, got upset and did something from the bench to retaliate.
Was it the poke from the bench?
But, remember, this is all just guessing because the NHL didn't give any clear details about what actually happened. So, for now, it's a bit of a mystery.
