Earlier in the off-season, the Boston Bruins revealed that Zdeno Chara was going to be returning back to the Bruins organization, and now his role has been confirmed with the Bruins.
The Boston Bruins just announced that Chara has been named Hockey Operations Advisor and Mentor.

The Boston Bruins went on to explain more in detail what Chara's role with the Boston Bruins is going to be.
Per the Bruins:
Chara's responsibilities include "building relationships and strengthening communication between players and coaches, attending practices and home games, and providing off-ice development support to defensemen."
Chara will also help the team's development staff.

Boston Bruins new head coach Marco Sturm issued a statement on the Bruins bringing back Chara:
«Having played alongside Zdeno, I know firsthand the leadership, work ethic and professionalism he brings every day,» said Bruins Head Coach Marco Sturm. «We're thrilled to have him back with the Bruins in this role, where his knowledge of the game will be a great resource for our players and staff.»
A look back on Chara's career with the Boston Bruins
Chara ended up spending 14 years total with the Boston Bruins, where he was the captain of the oragnization for his entire tenure with the team.
He lead the Boston Bruins to a Stanley Cup in 2011, and they made many other deep playoff runs as well.
Chara appeared in more than 1,000 games with the Boston Bruins, and a total of over 1,600 in his career.
He ended up finishing his career as the leagues all time leader in games played by a defenseman.
Chara had a Hall of Fame career, and is now returning back to where he spent most of his time during his career.
