Brad Marchand has easily been the Florida Panthers best player during the NHL Stanley Cup Finals, and now it's earned him a special honor from the NHL.
The former Boston Bruins captain has played a huge factor in every game so far, finding a way to get his name on the score sheet.
Only in game 4 have the Edmonton Oilers been able to hold Marchand off of the score sheet, after they sparked a comeback from being down 3-0.
In every other game, Brad Marchand has at least scored a goal.
And he did so again in one of the biggest games of the series, in game 5 to help the Florida Panthers take a
3-2 series lead over the Edmonton Oilers.
In doing so, Brad Marchand earned himself a special honor from the NHL.
Brad Marchand ties Mario Lemieux
There is still a chance that Marchand returns to the Boston Bruins in the off-season, and now things are getting exciting.
Marchand is breaking some crazy records at the age of 37-years-old.
With his first goal in game 5, Brad Marchand joined Mario Lemieux as the only players in NHL history to score 5 goals in multiple Stanley Cup Finals in the last 59 years:
