After finding about the heartbreaking news regarding Mark Scheifele's father passing, Brad Marchand had some very nice comments for Scheifele.

Leading right up to game 6 between the Winnipeg Jets and the Dallas Stars, it was reported that Mark Scheifele's father had passed away. After finding out about the news, Mark Scheifele ended up playing in the game.
Scheifele ended up scoring the Winnipeg Jets only goal of the game, and it was a beautiful moment for not just him, but everyone around the league, and he got to pay tribute to his father after that goal.
The hockey community has come together as one and supported Scheifele after finding out about his father passing, and since than, Stars fans and other NHL fans have been donation to Scheifele's charities he has.

Brad Marchand's Heartbreaking Message

Leading up to game 7 between the Florida Panthers and Toronto Maple Leafs, Brad Marchand sent a heartbreaking message to Mark Scheifele. In his message he would praise Scheifele for the strength it took to play on Saturday night, and stated that his family and father would be proud of what he did.
«There's very few people that could have found the strength to play through something like that. And to go out and to play the way that he did and step up for his team, his family must be extremely proud of him. And his dad would be.»
This is by far one of the saddest and biggest stories of the Stanley Cup Playoffs so far. Unfortunately the Winnipeg Jets ended up losing, and their season is officially over, but they put up a serious fight against one of the strongest teams in the playoffs.
