The Boston Bruins are officially the first team to clinch a spot in the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
With the Bruins win over the Red Wings, and the Islanders loss to the Capitals on Saturday, Boston books there spot in the postseason very early in the season.
The Bruins become the third-fastest team in league history to clinch a playoff spot in an 82-game season. The 1998-99 Dallas Stars clinched in 63 games, while the 1995-96 Red Wings hold the record at just 59 games.
Let's hope the boys can keep playing competitive down the stretch!
