The Boston Bruins are reportedly looking for some help on the wing for their top six.
The team has reportedly expressed interest in Buffalo Sabres forward Evander Kane, however Kane is an impending UFA and will probably cost a lot more than the B's are willing to give up.
According to NHL Insider Elliotte Friedman in his latest edition of "31 Thoughts", the Bruins have their eyes on another goal scoring winger.
Friedman wrote that the Bruins have been checking out Ottawa Senators forward Mike Hoffman recently.
Unlike Kane, Hoffman is signed through the 2019-20 season at a cap hit of $5.187million a season.
The 28 year old has a nose for the net and has seasons of 26, 29 and 27 goals over the last three seasons. He currently has 12 goals in 46 games for the lowly Senators and has 97 goals and 204 points in 306 career NHL games.
With the Sens looking to retool their roster, do you think Hoffman would be a good fit for the Bruins considering he's signed for the next couple of years?
