The Bruins will go for their fourth win in a row and second over the Red Wings in a matinee at the TD Garden today.
Noel Acciari and David Pastrnak scored in regulation before Brad Marchand beat the Wings in overtime just 10 days ago. Tuukka Rask, who will start this afternoon, made 33 saves in the win.
Riley Nash and Ryan Spooner both skated before Friday's morning skate after missing Thursday night's game against the Winnipeg Jets due to illness. Head coach Bruce Cassidy revealed that they skated before the rest of the team in order to avoid spreading the virus to more teammates. Cassidy said that he anticipates that they will both play today.
Defenseman Adam McQuaid will be a game-time decision as he looks to play for the first time since October 19.
The Bruins have taken points in 12 of their last 13 games versus the Red Wings, going 11-1-1 in that span. They have won their last six games versus the Red Wings on home ice and have not lost in regulation to them since February of 2016.
