The Boston Bruins knew they were getting a special player when they drafted him.
But forward
Fabian Lysell has been progressing at such a rapid rate that he's left the B's management pleasantly surprised!
The 19-year-old, who was taken by the B's with the 21st overall pick of last year's draft, just wrapped up his first season in the WHL.
After leading the Vancouver Giants with 22 goals and 40 assists in 53 regular season games, Lysell and company kicked off their playoffs last night.
Lysell was all over the ice.
The right winger kept his hot streak going by contributing to every single goal his team scored.
The Giants ended up taking a 1-0 series lead over the Everett Silvertips thanks to a 5-4 overtime win.
And once again, it was Lysell who set up the game-winner, giving the young prospect an unreal total of five assists in his first-ever WHL playoff game!
The future sure seems bright in Beantown if this kid plans on being around for a while!
