A recent announcement revealed some devastating news, and the hockey community is mourning.

Steve Reich spent more than 30 years in the hockey community, as a NHL player agent, and it is being reported that he has sadly passed away.
Reich, during his time represented some great players in the NHL like Mario Lemieux, Ron Francis, Chris Chelios, and Luc Robitaille, has sadly passed away at 64-years-old.
Steve ended up following the footsteps of his uncle Tom Reich, and after college he entered the sports world.
His uncle ended up representing some legends as well, in baseball like Sammy Sosa Ken Griffey Jr. and Dock Ellis.
At the beginning of his career whenever he was representing one of the best NHL players ever in Mario Lemieux, Steve ended up hiring someone who is now one of the biggest agents in the league.
Steve hired Pat Brisson, who is now one of the biggest agents in the NHL managing some massive names like Sidney Crosby, and his longtime teammate Evgeni Malkin.
with heavy hearts, we share the sad news that steve reich has passed away. steve was a terrific father, a loyal friend, an exceptional agent, and a wise and generous mentor to so many. his impact on our lives and on the lives of those he guided, supported, and inspired cannot be overstated.

steve always put others first. whether at the rink or simply over a cup of coffee, he made everyone feel seen, valued, and cared for.

he approached every relationship with integrity, and every success with humility. his legacy will live on in the countless people he touched.
steve will always be part of the 02k family! he will be deeply missed, and our thoughts are with his family during this incredibly difficult time.
Rest in Peace, Steve Reich.
